專員 (外交)

專員在外交中是指被指派到更高級別人員或機構的外交或行政人員。專員通常是在大使或外交使團團長的領導下的官員，擔任外交官或後勤人員，或在政府間組織或國際非政府組織或機構中任職。專員負責監控與其專業領域相關的各種問題，並可能對相關問採取行動。為此，專員可以參與制定相關活動規劃、決定，參與管理安排和議程設置，進行研究，並在必要時作為其國家利益以及國家科學院和工業界的代表。有時，專員有特殊的職責或專業知識，例如文化專員、海關專員、警務專員、勞工專員、法律專員、聯絡專員、武官、新聞專員、農業專員、商務專員、海事專員和科學專員。
