2007年，有传言吴宇森将执导重启版的《太空超人》电影，尽管网路上流传各种有关该片的制作及选角的传闻，但该计划仍未正式获批绿灯制作。随后《太空超人》的电影版权已被美泰儿收回[1]。2007年5月，宣布重启版的《太空超人》电影正在制作中，片名为《葛雷堡：太空超人》（Grayskull: Masters of the Universe），由乔·西佛制片，贾斯汀·马克斯（英语：Justin Marks (writer)）编剧[2]。
