This image was here, then transferred to Wikimedia Commons, then deleted from Commons under the belief that the image was copyrighted in Germany. See Commons:Commons:Deletion requests/Images of Category Das Cabinet des Dr. Caligari for discussion.

Argument for deleting was that German copyright had not expired (producer (questionable) and writer's (acceptable) death date + 70 years) and was unsuitable for Commons. It may be considered {{PD-US-1923-abroad}} in the US and therefore it may fall under at least fair use (as with File:Schreck.jpg as noted by deletion requester), for the time being while its US PD status is ascertained, and image's use on multiple articles is mediated. -Stevertigo (w | t | e) 20:37, 21 April 2010 (UTC)
